Well, finally!

After what seems like a significant fraction of forever 2007 video game, Mass Effect has finally got an update which allows it to run on nvidia/geforce systems without requiring an increasingly archaic and unsupported version of the video drivers to prevent the game from crashing (or from crashing your whole system).

Finally. About time.

The update’s automatically applied to the Steam version, unless you disabled the game updates, or you can go download it for other PC installations.

What's that over there?

Now there’s just the small matter of those other games that don’t work.

  1. Oh? I didn’t very far in the game, but the part I did play on my Sony laptop with an nVidia 8400 didn’t have any problems IIRC.
